By providing firsthand and accurate information channeled into articles, reports, videos and other products, engaging in extensive media outreach to spread this knowledge, and undertaking direct advocacy with decision makers around the globe, CHRI informs and draws attention to human rights violations in Iran. Through our extensive Farsi-language work and outreach, we work to expand the discussion of human rights in Iran, strengthening the ability of Iranian civil society to advance human rights. Only an informed international and Iranian community can effectively hold Iranian authorities accountable for their human rights violations.

No. We are an independent, non-political, non-partisan, non-governmental and nonprofit organization.

No. We do not accept any funds from any government.

CHRI is headquartered in New York, with staff spread out over the globe researching, writing, and contributing to CHRI’s work supporting human rights in Iran.
